Town travel soccer for players in grades 3/4 through high school

HYSA offers boys and girls travel teams in grades 3/4, 5/6, and 7/8 in both the fall and spring seasons. In the spring season, HYSA may also offer high school teams at the 9/10 and 9–Post Grad levels, depending on registration numbers and coach availability.Travel teams play against other towns through the Nashoba Valley Youth Soccer League, commonly known as NVYSL.

Travel soccer builds on the foundation of HYSA’s in-town programs by introducing larger fields, goalkeepers, referees, league schedules, team practices, and town-vs-town competition. Players continue developing technical skills, teamwork, spacing, decision-making, effort, and sportsmanship.

What to Expect

Travel soccer includes team practices and league games against other towns in NVYSL. Players are expected to attend practices and games, come prepared with the required equipment, and represent HYSA with good effort, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Teams are coached by volunteers, and the focus remains on player development while introducing a more competitive soccer environment.

• Grades 3/4 play 7v7 with 30-minute halves

• Grades 7/8 play 11v11 with 35-minute halves
